William Monroe "Pete" Guthrie

William Monroe "Pete" Guthrie of Springfield, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the age of 71. He was born on February 7, 1946 in Springfield, the son of the late Monroe Guthrie and the late Leola Martinez Guthrie Prescia.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Julia Aline Roberts Guthrie; children, Cynthia Courtney (Jerry), Allison Guthrie, and Steven Guthrie; 4 grandchild, Nicholas Guthrie, Emily Courtney, Erin Martin, and Julia Guthrie; and 2 sisters, Nettie Lee Guthrie Farrell, and Linda Guthrie Richardson.

Friends will be received Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home -  Ponchatoula.

Interment will follow at Killian First Baptist Church Cemetery.
