William Kerry King

William Kerry King passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana , at the age of 39.  He was born on Monday, October 10, 1983 in Mccomb, Mississippi to Deborah Hemphill-Smith and the late William King.  He was a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana.  William was an avid sportsman. He loved to golf, and enjoyed watching any and all sports. William was also a huge fan of LSU and the New Orleans Saints.  

William was an organ donor, and he was the first organ donor to receive the Hero's Walk at Touro Hospital. 

William is survived by his wife, Yazmine Hernandez-King; children, Collin King and Giuliana Dykes; mother, Deborah Hemphill-Smith; and sister, Layla Smith.

He was preceded in death by his birth father, William King; loving step-father, who loved him as his own son, Brad Smith; and daughter, who will be laid to rest with William, Janie Grace King.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 12:00 PM.

Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
