William Wade Hanna, Jr. was born July 23, 1963, in Hammond, Louisiana and passed away at his home April 19, 2024. Wade was an amazing person, father, husband, and friend. He had the biggest heart and would help anyone with anything. He never met a stranger. He loved music, being in that silly swamp hunting deer, being a jokester, and he could fix anything. His friends meant the world to him, and he considered them family. The thing he was most proud of was his family…his two beautiful children, Alivia Noel and Ethan Wade, and his best friend and wife, Alicia. He will missed by so many, but will always be remembered for his generous spirit, quick wit, and loving heart. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Hanna; daughter, Alivia Noel Hanna; son, Ethan Wade Hanna; father, William Wade Hanna, Sr; momma, Jean Hanna; sisters, Sheila Kinchen, Donna Schiro, and Ella Beal (Robert “Butch Beall); brothers, Valmond Sibley (Ellen Eubanks), and David Sibley; and mother-in-law, Cynthia Slay. Wade is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Forrest; maternal grandparents, Willard and Timmie Lambert; paternal grandparents, Leon and Ella Hanna; and father-in-law, Bobby Whittington. Visitation for Wade will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 West Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Monday, April 22, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Frank Dickens. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
