William "Bill" Benedict Edwards

William "Bill" Benedict Edwards passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016, surrounded by his family, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 66. He was born on Tuesday, September 5, 1950, in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Virginia Davis Edwards and Harold A. Edwards. He was a longtime resident of Hammond, Louisiana and a retired teacher with the Tangipahoa Parish School System.

Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Penny Morel Edwards; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Pete Lentini; grandchildren, Penny Rose and Parkin Lentini of Hammond, La; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia L. and Charlie Cameron of Knoxville, Tn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Harold Edwards; and four brothers, Lonnie, Norman, Lawson, and Alfred Edwards.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the First Presbyterian Church, 111 North Pine St, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until the service time of 12:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
