William Lloyd Barber, Sr.

William Lloyd Barber, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Franklinton, Louisiana, at the age of 77.  He was born on Sunday, August 5, 1945 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Edna Thomas Barber and the late Albert Barber.  He was a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana.  William loved to travel and was a great mechanic all of his life.

William is survived by his wife, Diane St. Romain Barber; children, William "Billy" Barber, Jr., Johnny Richard, and Alvin Richard; grandchildren, Ninna, Christina, Annablaire, Cadin, Collen, Johnny, and Sabrina; sister, Alberta Davis; cousin, Phillip Ray.

In addition to his parents, William was also preceded in death by his children, Angela Gaff and David Barber; brother, Junior Barber; and mother-in-law, Willow Dean.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Sunday, July 30, 2023, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Natalbany Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
