Wilfred "Wil" Stanislaus Cambre

Wilfred "Wil" Stanislaus Cambre, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at Hammond Nursing Home on Friday, May 14, 2021, at the age of 84. He was born on August 29, 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Harry Stanislaus Cambre and Marie Beulah Duhe Cambre. Wil was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and a devout Christian.

Wil is survived by his children, Allan Cambre (Helen), Donnie Cambre, Nancy Saragusa (Louis), Charles Cambre (Debbie), and Judie Cambre; grandchildren, Alicia English (Anthony), Michael Ierano (Heather), Nathan Ierano (Natalie), Taylor Cambre, Jake Cambre, Brandon Cambre, Hannah Saragusa, Cody Herron, Bria Durio (Cody), David Cambre (Lindsey), Faith Cambre, Emily Cambre, Patience Methvien (Zac), Kaylie Copeland, and Kanten Copeland; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Cambre (Barbara); sister, Clara Boudroux; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wil was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Richardson Cambre and siblings, Steve, Johnny and Ruby.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, with Pastor Carl Kelly officiating.

Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana.
