Wilfred Joseph Cintron

Wilfred Joseph Cintron passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 86.  He was born on Wednesday, January 6, 1937 in New York, New York to the late Lydia Rivera.  He was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Wilfred is survived by his daughter, Maureen Cintron; son & daughter-in-law, Willie, Jr. & Audrey Cintron; son, Richard Cintron; grandchildren Faith Mancil, Mark Mancil, Adelina Cintron, Richard Cintron, Peter Cintron, and James Cintron; great-grandchildren, Roselynn and Khloe; brother, Hiram Colon, Jr.; and sister, Matilda Castro.

In addition to his parents, Wilfred is also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Petersen Cintron.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, January 5, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.  

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana.
