Wendy Ann Vicknair Bordelon, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 68. She was born on September 4, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Vicknair and Shirley Keller Vicknair.
Wendy was a long time employee of Shell Oil and worked in both the Metairie and New Orleans offices. She loved doing crafts, and blessed many of her friends and family with one of her handmade “bead banners”. She also enjoyed photography and was often the person behind the camera capturing special memories such as her grandchildren’s birthday parties.
She also loved to travel, and was especially happy when visiting the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, which she chose as her final resting place.
Family and friends will be received at First United Methodist Church of Hammond, 2200 Rue Denise, Hammond, Louisiana 70403 on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the church sanctuary at 4:00 pm, with a reception following in Ciruti Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Smoky Mountains National Park.
