Wayne Carter Robertson

Wayne Carter Robertson passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 86 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on October 3, 1939 in Hammond, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Hammond High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp and served with the reserves for 6 years. He spent most of his career in the petroleum industry and retired from Wood Group in 2015. He was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana.

Wayne enjoyed music, hunting, golf, horses, and rodeos. His positive nature, outgoing personality, and quick wit made him a pleasure to be around for all who knew him. He was a passionate patriot and a man of faith. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends and will be missed by many.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol Jay “Callie” McLin Robertson; daughter, Paige LeBleu; son, Jay Robertson; grandchildren, Cameron LeBleu (Sophia), Abby Wright, Ethan Robertson, and Laci Robertson; great-granddaughter, Soleil LeBleu; and step-grandchildren, Scott LeBleu and Hannah Murray.

He was preceded in death by his father, Teddy Robertson; mother, Mabel “Mamie” Manuel Robertson; siblings, Charlene Robertson and A.J. Robertson; son-in-law, Conway LeBleu; and niece, Nicki Robertson Dooms.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 30300 Catholic Hall Road, Albany, Louisiana 70711, on Friday, June 19, 2026 beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral mass begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Narretto Cemetery, Loranger, Louisiana.
