Wayne A. Bordelon

Wayne A. Bordelon, age 66, of Springfield, LA, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in New Orleans, LA, the cherished son of William J. and Elsie Magri Bordelon.

Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Elizabeth, and his beloved daughter, Michelle.  He is also survived by his cherished sister, Cynthia Mayeux, and his dear brother, Kenneth Bordelon, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

A faithful member and dedicated deacon of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Hammond, LA, Wayne found solace in his spiritual family and was passionate about his involvement with the Adventist Community Outreach Services.  His commitment to his faith was an inspiration to all who knew him.  

Wayne's zest for life thrived in the great outdoors, whether it was boating on the water, casting a line for the perfect catch, or exploring the beauty of nature through hikes, he found peace and joy in nature's embrace.

A master of craftsmanship, Wayne's woodworking projects were a testament to his skill and artistry.  His patient and meticulous approach extended beyond woodwork, allowing him to mend and fix almost anything with unmatched precision.

Above all, Wayne was a loving husband and father.  His humility, gentleness, and unwavering faithfulness left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.  His generosity knew no bounds, and his caring nature was a beacon of light for all who crossed his path.

Wayne's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his warmth and compassion.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the support and condolences during this most difficult time.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 11:00 am until services begin at 1:00 pm. 

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond, LA.
