Wayne Albert Dufour, Sr.

Wayne Albert Dufour Sr. went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2023 at the age 80. He was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on March 29,1942 to the late Elmore and Maudeen Dufour.

Wayne was the definition of a family man and enjoyed having all of his kids and grandkids spend time together. His favorite time of year was Christmas; his favorite parts being the Christmas music, giving gifts, and making memories. He especially loved watching his grand puppies play in the backyard. Wayne adored his wife Annie, loved her with all his heart and just celebrated their 62nd anniversary on February 11th. Wayne retired from Folgers Coffee after 25 years and was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3068.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annie Dufour; son, Wayne Dufour Jr; daughter, Kathleen Dufour; daughter, Darleen Chautin (Gerald); grandchildren Erica and Paige Kastner, and Catherine Musso. Adopted grandchildren, Jessica Lee, Luke Daniels, Jacob DeLaune and Cole Sheehan.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Martin Dufour; and sister, Marion Tyson.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 10:00am-1:00pm, a prayer service will begin at 1:00pm.

Interment will follow at Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
