Walton Todd Tate

An amazing husband, father, son and friend, Walton Tate peacefully passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the age of 46. Â Walton was born on June 17, 1975 to Ellienne and the late W.O. Tate, Jr. Â He graduated from St. Paulâs High School in 1993, attended the University of Mississippi and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University. Â Walton completed law school at Loyola University. Â He established Clean Title, LLC in Hammond in 2004.
A highly successful real estate attorney, he was a hard worker, demonstrated a congenial personality, never met a stranger and was always happy! Â He was the best at teaching the art and meaning of unconditional love, through which he treated everyone. Â Walton especially enjoyed fishing and even met the love of his life on a fishing trip to Costa Rica, then they were married 18 months later in the midst of Hurricane Katrina. Â Walton took great pleasure in spending time with his family, he loved seeing Isabel dance and Payton play baseball. Â He was a dedicated Dad that took great pride in his childrenâs activities and achievements. Â Walton was a good friend to many! Â He had a passion for the Chicago Bears and was a fan since he was 10 years old.
Walton was preceding in death by his father. Â He leaves behind his loving wife of 17 years, Jackeline; his beautiful children, Payton and Isabel; his wonderful mother, Ellienne Tate; aunts, Jane McFillen, Sarah Todd and Donna Todd; as well as many good friends and colleagues.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in HAMMOND, on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Â Services will be officiated by Pastor Barry Chance. Â Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
