Walter Ola "W.O." Teel

Walter Ola "W.O." Teel passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 90. He was born on Monday, May 3, 1926, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Corrine Hoover Teel and Walter William Teel.

Walter is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Wanda and Darwin Huff, son & daughter-in-law, Buell "Bud" and Betty Teel, and son & daughter-in-law, Rodney and Susanne Teel; a special niece, Brenda Husser; 2 special nephews, Richard Rodriguez and Louis Rodriguez, Jr.; sister, Carrie Bankston; and brother, Paul Teel. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Neva James Teel; parents, Corrine H. and Walter William Teel; and sister, Thera Deffendal.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Bedico Baptist Church, 28156 Highway 22 East, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 1:00 pm. with Dr. Dustin Stockstill, Pastor, presiding. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and will continue until service time of 1:00 pm at Bedico Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in Bedico Community Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bedico Baptist Church at the address above, in W.O.'s memory.
