Walter Sam Kellam

Sam went to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La. He was born in North Carolina on June 7, 1943. Sam enjoyed spending time with family, traveling to Tennessee, watching old westerns and humming little tunes. Sam was well loved, is already deeply missed and will not be forgotten. 

Preceding Sam in death is his wife of 30 years; Mary Alma Kellam, parents; Walter and Mamie Kellam, sisters; Marie and Nancy, and step-son; Emanuel “EJ” Labit.

Sam is survived by his brother; Guy Kellam (Dulcelina), sister; Helen Amburgy, step-children; Mary “Rita” Pellegalle (Kenny), Rebecca “Becky” Rogers, Wade “Bo” Labit III (Deedy), Ashton “Scott” Labit, grandchildren; Winter Marie Godbold (Jamey), Kristal Pierce, Tabatha Pierce, Preston “Lee” Pierce, Elise Labit, Angelle Labit, Wade Labit IV (Erika Claveria), Ashley Vinet, Christopher “CJ” Vinet Jr., Amanda Cheramie (Brad), Adrien Verdin (Keith) Autumn Labit, Andrew Labit, Jordan Labit (Anne), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.
