Vonda Marie Cason Straus

Vonda Marie Straus, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, formally of Bull Head, AZ. passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Friday, August 14, 2020, at the age of 60. She was born on Tuesday, July 12, 1960, in San Bernardino, California. She was a member of Life Tabernacle Church in East Baton Rouge, she was involved with  Beacon Behavioral Health, She helped them and they helped her. She also liked to help St. Jude so donations may be made in her honor.

Vonda is survived by her daughter, Tanya Cervantez; son, Joseph Montes, sisters, Kelly R. Ragan and her husband Barry and Kimberly Johnson; her brother, Kenneth W. Cason, Jr., grandchildren, Tiffany Iler, April Hyde, Jordan Montes, and Landon  Montes; great-grandson, Ayden; nieces and nephews, Emily, Trae, Wesley, Nicole and  Cason; also survived by 10 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Art Straus, parents, Kenneth Cason Sr. and Nancy Funderburk Ingram.

Her wishes were for her cremains to be placed under the weeping willow tree with her mother.

Vonda was living her best life in faith not fear. Rest in peace our sweet angel.
