Vivian Stewart Albin

Vivian Stewart Albin, age 84, of Independence, died Sunday, August 22, 2021, at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond.  She was born in Tickfaw, the daughter of the late Sebron and Clora Johnson Stewart.  Vivian lived her life as a homemaker and she loved caring for her family and enjoyed the outdoors.  Vivian could often be found fishing on the riverbanks of the family property.  She is survived by her children, Wanda and Wilson Teston, Dereck and Dora Albin, Karen Faye Albin, and Sharon Kaye Tallo; stepson, Earl and Janelle Albin; brother, James Stewart, sister, Faye Tate, grandchildren, Bradley Teston, Erica and Chris Poe, Jared and Amy Albin, Joshua Albin, Aaron and Qian Albin, Megan and Stefan Hagger, Heather Tallo, Cheryl and Carlos Williams, and Darnell and Joel McAlister; great grandchildren, Matthew and Natalie Poe, and Haley and Hannah Williams.  Vivian is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Billmer D. Albin; infant grandson, Brennen Teston; brothers, Elzey, Hosey, Valmon, Davis, Norman, Claudie, Carter and Bo Stewart; and sisters, Rosemary Smith and Hilda Gordon.  Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 10:00 am until the religious services at 1:00 pm conducted by Pastor Dallas Stewart.  Vivian will be laid to rest next to her husband in Old Zion Hill Cemetery, Independence. Facemask are required to attend visitation and services. Thank you for your consideration.
