Viola Baham Shilling O'Berry

Viola Baham Shilling O'Berry, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born on April 1, 1930, in Uneedus, Louisiana, the youngest child of the late Hypolite Baham and Sophia Hebert Baham.

Viola is survived by her sons, Dennis M. Shilling (Mary Catherine D. Shilling), David O. Shilling (Lucie D. Shilling), John D. Schilling (Janice L. Schilling), and Arthur R. Shilling (Sherry W. Shilling); grandchildren, Dennis Shilling Jr., Clayton Shilling (Amy), Jason Shilling (Jessica), Erin Shilling (Cristal), Jan M. Gonzales (Albert), Julie A. Arnone (Tony), Crystal S. Guntenaar, Candace S. Mathews (Dustin), Chasity S. Hammett (Jason), and Denise M. Roy; great grandchildren, Rhythm, McKinsey, Miles, Max, Jason Jr., Mary Jane, Savannah, Austin, Maddie, Alanna, Sophie, Bryson, Seth, Ali, Asher, Malachi, Waylon, Allen, Jason, and Ezra, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin "Tex" Shilling and Charles L. O'Berry, and siblings, Dennis Baham, Velma Warren, Earlis Anthony, Virena Tycer, Veda Brading, and Benny Baham.

Family and friends will be received at Live Oak Baptist Church, 78273 Highway 1077, Folsom, Louisiana 70437 on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, with a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Noah Cemetery in Husser, Louisiana.
