Victor Ben Peco

Victor Ben Peco, was born November 5, 1932, in Hammond, to the late Ben V. Peco and Mary Thibodeaux Peco.  Mary passed away when Victor was 2 years old, and was raised by his step mother, the late Fannie Monistere Peco.   He passed away April 17, 2023.  Victor was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Tickfaw, a Marine veteran and retired from the Army National Guard.  After his retirement from the military, Victor worked and retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nicoline Alfano Peco; son, Victor J. Peco (Belinda); brother, Albert Peco (Antoinette); sister, Frances Alack; grandchildren, Jessica Hayden (Chance) and Ben Victor Peco; and great grandchildren, Payton Harrell, Channing Serigne, Bristol Hayden, Callie Hayden, and Charley Hayden.  In addition to his parents, Victor is preceded in death by his sister, Ida Langston; and grandson, Joseph Peco.  Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 5:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 LA Hwy 442, Tickfaw, LA celebrated by Father Michael Galea.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
