Victor Jerry Abene Sr.

Victor Jerry Abene Sr., of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at the age of 86. He was born on Saturday, August 12, 1933, in Tickfaw, Louisiana.

He was a retired supervisor for the D.O.T.D., Weights and Scales. Victor was an honorably discharged ARMY veteran, having served during the Korean War.

Victor is survived by his wife of 64 years, Phyne Restivo Abene; daughter & son-in-law, Kathy and Brett  Candiotto, son & daughter-in-law, Victor and Tammy Abene, Jr.; grandchildren, Meagan  Possoit (Colton), Tyler Candiotto, Jordan Candiotto, Samuel Abene, and Victor Abene, III;  great-grandchildren, Dawson, Eden, Maelyn and Calvin.

He was preceded in death by son, Ronald James Abene, parents, Joe and Rosalie Abene, also many brothers and sisters,.

Services will be held privately. Family and friends are encouraged to send condolences and share memories online.
