Vicki Anita Jones

Vicki Anita Jones passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on November 13, 1950, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to Floyd "Buddy" Bassemier and Alice Pierre Bassemier.

Vicki lived a life marked by strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She found great joy in tending her garden, good conversation, cooking, watching classic Westerns, and an occasional night out at the bingo hall. She cherished her family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love.

Vicki is survived by her siblings, Mike Bassemier (Kathleen), Faron Bassemier (Carla), and Gretchen Lawrence; her children, James Ford, Glenda Ford Hebert, Dewayne Ford, and Michael Ford; her grandchildren, Megan Ford, Steven LaMartiniere, Cody Hebert, Clint Hebert, Mason Ford, Landon Ford, and Kailyn Ford; and her great-grandchildren, Evelyn Hebert, Jackson Hebert, Josephine Hebert, Levi LaMartiniere, and Jackson Campbell.

Vicki is preceded in death by her father, Floyd "Buddy" Bassemier; her mother, Alice Bassemier Pierre; her husband, Albert Jones; her brother, Roger Bassemier; and her brother-in-law, Tim Lawrence.

She is lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones and through the values she instilled during a life well lived.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.

Interment will follow in The River Church Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana.
