Verna May Gatlin

Verna May Gatlin passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 73.  She was born on Sunday, March 24, 1946 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Juanita Prevost and the late Vernon Hoover Sr.  She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Verna is survived by her husband, David Keith Gatlin; sons, Jamie and Joshua Gatlin; daughters, Alissa Smith (Darryl) and Christine Anderson; and 8 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Verna was also preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Hoover, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 12:00 PM until the Funeral Service begins at 2:30 pm.

Interment will follow in Stevens Red Hill Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
