Vera Louise Pardo

Vera Louise Pardo, age 96 of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Hammond Nursing Home. She was born on Sunday, April 8, 1923, in Willow City, Texas, to Pete and Emma White Johansen. Vera enjoyed life and loved gardening and shopping in town, but she especially loved spending time with her family. 

Vera is survived by her nephew, Gary Morgan, Sr. and his wife Gail and numerous great nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Emma White Johansen, her husband, Anthony "Tony" Pardo and 10 siblings. 

A visitation for Vera will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Vera's Life will immediately follow visitation at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hammond.
