Tuan Khanh Van Nguyen

Tuan Nguyen, age 59, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at North Oaks Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Vietnam on July 29, 1963 to his parents, Thiet Thi Vu and the late Tuynh Van Nguyen.  Upon  immigrating to the United States, his family worked hard and prospered, where he became the owner of the Tickfaw Seafood and Deli Restaurant in Tickfaw for 14 years.  Tuan was a one of a kind soul who enjoyed fishing, writing poems and spending time with his family.  He also had a passion for carpentry and woodworking, among other things, he made many pieces of furniture for his home.  Tuan was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him and will be missed deeply.

Tuan leaves behind his loving wife, Loan Phuong Thi Nguyen; beautiful daughter, Teresa Nguyen; mother, Thiet Thi Vu; and siblings, Phai Van Nguyen, Hung Thai Nguyen, Khoa Van Nguyen, Duc Thanh Nguyen, Phuong Bich Nguyen, Loan Bich Nguyen, Lieu Bich Nguyen.

Preceding him in death were his father, Tuynh Nguyen; and 11 other siblings.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.  The Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will be at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church Cemetery in Tickfaw.
