Tofanio Joseph "T.J." Muscarello

Tofanio Joseph "T.J." Muscarello, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 93. He was born on November 1, 1932, in Tickfaw, Louisiana. T. J. was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a barber for many years and worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. T.J. was a devoted member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.

T.J. is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Margaret Mondebello Muscarello; nieces, Lena Bryant (James) and Debbie Langlois (David); and brother-in-law, Vincent Mondebello (Ann).

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Muscarello Bourg; father, Jesse Muscarello; mother, Lena Rosato Scardina; stepfather, Nick Scardina; and sister, Nicolina McBride.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466 on Friday at 11:00 am, with Fr. Michael Galea officiating.

Entombment will follow at Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum in Independence, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be James Bryant, David Langlois, Jason Schaefer, Sean Lagarosse, Vincent Mondebello, and Brandon Mondebello.
