Tina Ann Perkins

Tina Ann Perkins went to her heavenly home on June 10, 2022, at the age of 85. She was a dedicated Christian and musician who loved her family beyond words.

Tina achieved a great deal of success in her lifetime. She traveled and sang vocals in multiple gospel bands in addition to becoming a successful accountant in the automotive industry. Though she had many professional accomplishments, she was most proud that she and her husband helped lead their family to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Tina enjoyed watching sports, especially LSU Tiger football. In her younger years she could be found in Tiger Stadium every home game. Her favorite part about football was tailgating because it involved spending time with family and friends. Quality time with those she loved brought her the most joy. She loved holidays and any excuse to have her family all together.

Her legacy of sharing the gospel and caring for those she loved will be carried on by her family. Still waiting for their own call to meet her in heaven are her daughter Tammy Perkins (Anthony Dibenedetto), granddaughter Jessica Hung (Zachary), grandsons Justin Ridgel (Shelby), Teddy Amar (Stephanie), great-grandchildren Justie, Calin, and Charlee, sister Mary Ida Dyer, nephews Richard Russell (Debra) and Glenn Russell, great niece Brittany Deselle (Al) and their children Benjamin and Samuel Deselle. Tina was lovingly greeted in heaven by her husband Thomas Perkins, her son Tommy Perkins, and her parents Cosmo and Mary Leto.

Our family expresses appreciation for the outpouring of love from friends, family, co-workers, and our church families. Visitations will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Harry McKneely & Son, 2000 N Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation continues Friday, June 17, 2022, at Victory Baptist Church, 43385 N Little Italy Road after 9:00 am.  A celebration of life will take place at the church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence, LA.
