Timothy Alton Blow, lovingly known as "Timbo," passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on March 12, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on April 15, 1961, in St. Tammany, Louisiana, he was the beloved son of Janice Sawyer Blow and the late Rufus Blow Jr.
Timothy was a man of unwavering faith, strength, and integrity. He lived his life with a deep sense of purpose, guided by his strong beliefs and the values he held close to his heart. As a carpenter, he took great pride in his craftsmanship, pouring dedication and care into every project he touched. His hands built more than just structures-they built a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and love.
Timothy found great joy in the simple blessings of life. He had a deep love for sports, particularly basketball, baseball, golf, and football. He delighted in watching games and sharing his enthusiasm with others, especially when it came to his grandsons, Roy Casanova Jr. and Romeo Casanova. He cherished hearing about their athletic achievements, cheering them on with pride and encouragement, always reminding them to put their hearts into everything they did.
Music was another gift that brought Timothy peace and joy. The melodies of classic rock and country carried memories of days gone by, filling his heart with comfort and nostalgia. His love for music lived on through his granddaughter, Kairi Arocha, a talented violinist whose passion for playing filled him with pride. He found joy in hearing her play, knowing that music, like love, was a gift meant to be shared and cherished.
Above all, Timothy’s greatest treasure was his family. He was a devoted son, father, and grandfather who led with kindness, wisdom, and a heart full of love. His faith carried him through life’s trials and triumphs, and he shared that faith with those around him, offering strength, encouragement, and unwavering support. He believed in the power of love, the promise of grace, and the beauty of life’s journey.
Timothy is survived by his daughter, Danielle Blow Casanova, and her husband, Roy Casanova; his beloved grandchildren, Kairi Arocha, Roy Casanova Jr., and Romeo Casanova; his mother, Janice Sawyer Blow; his brother, Keith Blow; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Blow Jr., and his grandparents, Rufus Blow Sr. and Bobbie Jane Blow; Joe Joiner and Mildred Joiner; and Crawford Sawyer and Gladys Hano Sawyer.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Timothy’s spirit lives on. His love, laughter, and faith remain in the hearts of those who knew him. As we grieve his passing, we also find comfort in knowing he has found peace in the presence of the Lord, reunited with those who have gone before him. His light will never fade, for love is eternal, and his legacy will continue to shine through the lives of those he touched.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23
