Thomas "Tommy" Joseph Bourgeois

Thomas "Tommy" Joseph Bourgeois, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the age of 68. He was born on August 20, 1950 in Independence, Louisiana. Tommy was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, the Carpenters Local Union #1846, as well as a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council #2952.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Agnes Peco Bourgeois; children, Allison Bourgeois Jenkins and husband Lynn, Thomas Joseph Bourgeois, Jr. and wife Desiree, and Amy Bourgeois; 4 grandchildren, Savanna, Taylor, and Wyatt Bourgeois, and Olivia Jenkins; and mother, Shirley Bennett Bourgeois.

He was preceded in death by father, Alcide Augustin Bourgeois; sister, Mary Kathryn Bourgeois Alack; and father and mother-in-law, Marion and Santa Peco.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 9:00 am until the rosary and funeral service at 2:00 pm, with Deacon Nat Garofalo officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date at Ponchatoula Cemetery.
