Thomas Ray "Tommy" Dean

Tommy was born July 31, 1939, in Mobile, AL to the late William Ray and Willie Louise Evans Dean.  He passed away at his residence in Tickfaw, LA, July 26, 2021, at the age of 81.  Tommy Dean was a U.S. Marine veteran and a retired Ironworker with Local Union 623.  He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Philyaw (Bill), and Germaine Saragusa (Brett); sons, William Ray Dean (Robin), Tony Joe Spencer (Cheryl), and Tommie Spencer (Mary); sisters, Mae Brantley and Patricia Scarborough; brother, Donnie Dean, special friends, Danny and Rita Wells; grandchildren, Parisa Lewis (Jeremy), William Philyaw (Pattavia), Alyssa Belkaci (Stephane), Alaina Toth (Parker), April Usie (Derrick), Amanda Spencer, Theresa Spencer, Anthony Spencer, Lauren Nix (Chris), TJ Spencer (Jennifer), Heather LaBate, and Ashley Hennick (Robert); and a great grandson Liam Philyaw.  In addition to his parents, Tommy Dean is preceded in death by a son, Kip T. Dean; brother, Ralph Dean, Al Dean, and Ronnie Dean.  Visitation will be Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond after 9:00 am until religious services at 10:00 am.  Entombment will follow in Colonial Mausoleum, Independence, LA.
