Thomas Maurice Gauthreaux

Thomas Maurice Gauthreaux passed away peacefully on January, 23 2023 at the age of 72. He was born in Wallace, Louisiana in 1950. He is survived by his siblings Janet (Lawrence), Mary Lynn, Brenda and Clyde (Jackie and son Bryan). He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Claude Gauthreaux and Rosella Vessier Gauthreaux.

Thomas was a graduate of Ponchatoula High School and in his most recent years was a loved member of his local Options family. With the assistance of the Options staff, he triumphed over his Asperger syndrome. He was a gifted,  passionate genealogist tracing his family's French heritage from Acadiana to France into the 15th century. He leaves behind a treasured and impressive history of the Gauthreaux and Vessier ancestry.

Mr. Thomas was a kind and gentle soul, always polite to everyone he met. The family would especially like to thank his devoted Options friends and staff Latasha, Karen, Ellana, and Quandra, and his options roommate of 10 years Fabrizio.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
