Terry Gene Abelseth

Terry Gene Abelseth, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the age of 72. He was born on December 27, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Victor Abelseth and Elizabeth Fuchs Abelseth. Terry loved fixing things and regarded himself as a handyman with a rough and ready approach.  He enjoyed cutting grass, playing pool, bowling, and watching LSU and Saints football. Terry loved his family and his dog Phoebe.

Terry is survived by his sons, Nicholas Samuel Abelseth (Malinda), Brandon Joseph Abelseth (Crysta), and Joshua Michael Abelseth; grandchildren who called him "Poppy", Austin Samuel Abelseth, Emma Nicole Abelseth, Jayden Marie Abelseth, Elleyana Claire Abelseth, and Jailyn Renee Barnes; siblings, Rae M. Gabler, Roberta "Bobbie" Etchell, Lee Anne Gottmann, and James A. Abelseth; the mother of his children, Pamela Ann Abelseth; close family friends, Herbie and Judy Lotz and their daughters, Brittany and Rebecca; and numerous nieces and nephews.
