Terri-Jo Ellen Gray

Terri-Jo Ellen Gray passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 62.  She was born on Monday, August 8, 1960 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Ann Vaurigaud Shumack and the late Chester Shumack.  She was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Throughout her life, Terri-Jo was a homemaker, a school photographer, and was involved in all of her childrens' extracurricular activities. She had a big heart, and an unmistakable laugh. She was a second mother to many, and loved anyone around her as her own. She took in many extended children and had room in her heart enough to love them all.

Terri-Jo is survived by her husband of 28 years, Billy Gray; children, Marie Faulk and her husband, Kevin, Amanda Ridgel and her husband, Chris, and Dirk Gray; sister, Anna DeLee and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Montana Gray, Leah Ridgel, Kylee Ridgel, and Kaden Faulk; nieces and nephews, Chet DeLee and his wife, Tara, Chelsey Phillips and her husband, John David, Edward Chase DeLee and his wife, Emily, and Christine White and her husband, Bill; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Vaurigaud Shumack; father, Chester Shumack; daughter, Nicole Boyd; brother, Kenneth Shumack; and grandparents, Edward and Leah Vaurigaud.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, September 23, 2022, beginning at 4:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 6:00 PM.
