Syvonne Joan Nuccio

Syvonne Joan NuccioMrs. Joan went to her heavenly home on January 7th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the young age of 81 years old.  She was a Ponchatoula native but settled in Tickfaw as her home to raise her beautiful family.  Maw Maw Joan was known for her spunky “Million Dollar Woman” attitude, she was always dressed up with a place to go and people to see and lived life to the fullest.  Her heart was as big as the heavens and would take in and help anyone in need and loved everyone she met.  Maw Maw Joan loved Jesus, her church family and was the rock of the family and the glue that held it together.  Her smile would light up any room she entered, along with any of her bling she would be wearing.  Joan would often be found rooting for the Saints and the LSU Tigers whenever they were on or shouting at parades to be thrown some goodies.  She also loved to travel, try her luck at the casino, play bingo with the gals.  This Fancy Maw Maw was a one-of-a-kind lady who was also a strong-willed woman and a fighter until the end, which was instilled in her beloved children and grandchildren. Mrs. Joan is already so deeply missed by all who knew her.Mrs. Joan leaves behind her daughter, Debra Nuccio Becker and her children, Russell Nuccio, Cecelia Becker, Sarah Becker, and her grandchildren, Marissa, Timothy “Tim Tim”, Blake, Brayson, Zoe Jane, Ethan; daughter, Sheri Lynn McCrory (Bubba) and her children, Casey Willie (Leslie), Amanda Cosby (John), Michelle Hoyt (Dwayne), and her grandchildren, Curtis, Mackenzie, Lea-Ann, John “Lil Boo”,  Elijah, William; daughter, Tammie Nuccio Saragusa (Michael), and her children, Maranda Schillage (Sal), Benny Nichols, Noah Nuccio, and her grandchildren, Aria and Chandler.
