Stephen "Bubba" Matherne

Stephen "Bubba"  Matherne passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 47.  He was born on Saturday, October 18, 1969 in Hammond, Louisiana to Lynda Gill Matherne and Michael Matherne.  He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Bubba is survived by his father, Michael Matherne; mother, Lynda Gill Matherne; daughter, Kaitlyn Matherne; son, Karson Matherne; brother, Michael Matherne, Jr. and his wife Carrie; nieces and nephews, Michaela Matherne, Nick and Logan Lyons, and Lexi Phillips; and great-nieces, Charleigh, and Chandler Phillips.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Myles R. Gill; grandmother, Mae Brigham; and grandparents, Harry and Beatrice Matherne.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
