Shirley Gordon Albin

Shirley Gordon Albin, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at the age of 72. She was born on February 15, 1948, in Albany, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Bill and Bessie Gordon.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence "Buck" Albin; daughter, Lisa Reso (Edwin); son, Dale Albin (Melinda); grandchildren, Payton Penzato, Hailey Russell (Kirkland), Garrett Penzato, and Madison Albin; siblings, Geraldine G. Schum (Wayne), Billy Joe Gordon (Jan), Larry Gordon (Sherry); sisters-in-law, Beverly Maurer and Linda Berteau; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her grandson, Colton Williams; siblings, Anna Marie Gordon, Buddy Gordon, Jack Fralick, Willie Dee Stewart, and Rita Faye Gordon; and mother-in-law, Hazel Ruth Albin.

Family and friends will be received at New Life Baptist Church, 24630 Highway 442, Albany, Louisiana 70443 on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at New Life Baptist Church on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at the church on Thursday at 12:00 pm.

Entombment will follow at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany, Louisiana.
