Shirley Ann Barnett

Shirley Ann Barnett passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 76.  She was born on Sunday, August 30, 1942 in Dona Ana, New Mexico to the late Hazel Young and the late Sammie Clark.  She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Karen Barnett Riordan (Charles); sons, Billy Joe Barnett, Jr., and Terry Don Barnett; sisters, Rocky Shafer, Billy Joel Reid, and Linda Clark; brother, David Clark; grandchildren, Christy Ann Pearson (Brian Paul), Alicia Prince(Caleb), Tommy, Jr., Nicklos, Joseph, Ashley Laree, and Joshua Wade; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill J. Barnett; sons, Tommy Wayne Barnett and Ricky Barnett; her granddaughter, Jeneffer Barnett; and sisters, Sharon Piker, Patsy Vanwinkle, Meridith Miles, Brenda Ogletree, Cathleen Clark, and Sammy Walker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery, Springfield, Louisiana.
