Sherri Lynn Beaubouef Hayes

Sherri Beaubouef Hayes of Ponchatoula, Louisiana died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at North Oaks Medical Center.

Born October 20, 1960 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, Sherri was raised in Ball, Louisiana and devoted her life to serving as a registered nurse, providing care across Louisiana and around the world. She graduated from Tioga High School in 1978, Northwestern State University in 1979, and Louisiana State University in 1981. In 1994, she began serving as Case Management Director of North Oaks Health System, redesigning the case management department to create a unique model that provided personalized care for all patients, and to support physicians to effectively carry out their plan of care. She retired in 2011 as Vice-President of Case Management.

Sherri is survived by her devoted husband Allan Blake Hayes, Sr. of Ponchatoula, two children, Charles Laurence Velasquez Jr. and Monica Michelle Velasquez, both of Ponchatoula, three step-children Allan Blake Hayes Jr. of Lafayette, Krystal Elaine Hayes of Slidell, and Lacey Hayes Galyon of Slidell and her husband Eric Christopher Galyon, brother Charles Gregory Beaubouef of Ball, four grandchildren Jeremiah Blake Wombles and Austin Tyler Wombles, both of Slidell, Allan Blake Hayes III of Lafayette, and Hannah “Boop” Grace Galyon of Slidell, along with many nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Velma Sue Beaubouef of Deville, father Charles William Beaubouef of Deville, sister Donna Sue Beaubouef Coutee of Hammond, and grandson Jacob Riley Wombles of Slidell.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, November 20, 2021, beginning at 3:00 PM until the memorial service begins at 4:00 PM.
