Sharon Crews

Sharon, age 75, joined her beloved husband Rob in eternal rest on 11/12/2022.   She will be deeply missed by the many students she educated over her 50 + years of teaching math and science. Sharon was a Golden Graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and professor there until her death.   Sharon enjoyed spending time gardening, hiking, bike riding and shopping.  .

Sharon leaves behind her daughter, Celeste Crews Mauro and husband, David Mauro as well as her beloved dog, Patton.  She will be missed by her  close friends.  

Proceeding Sharon in death were her parents John and Corinne Hein and her beloved husband of 47 years Robert Crews.  

Sharon’s wishes were for her ashes to join her beloved husband. Sharon did not want funeral services.  A small celebration of life will be held at a later time. During the 1960’s, while a student at Southeastern Louisiana University, she helped raise funds to build St. Albert Catholic Student Center. Her family asks that if you are so moved, you may make a donation to this center in her memory.
