Saylor Ann Montz

Saylor Ann Montz "Squeaker" at age 4 months passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She was born on December 11, 2018 at Lakeview Hospital in Covington, LA. Saylor was a light to everyone she came in contact with, even in her death. She loved her red blanket and to put a smile on everyone's face. She enjoyed being held by her brother and cooing at her family  She was very curious and loved being outside, but most of all she loved everyone.

Saylor is survived by her parents, Matthew Laros Montz and Rebecca Danielle Yancey Montz; brother, Bowen Micheal Starkey; grandparents, Angela L. Montz, Jackie E. Ryals, James Robert Yancey, and Shuwana Kiston Jones Yancey; great grandparents, Betty Ann Ryals, Mark Anthony Cheramie, Sr and Covina Zee Cheramie, and Butch Vanderah and Mona Vanderah; Uncles, Jonathan Henry Montz, Shawn Matthew Yancey, Joel Edmond Yancey, and Joshua David Yancey; and God parents, Jacob Ray Vicknair and Katelyn Dianne Arbour.

She was preceded in death by her sister Kiston Lee Montz; grandfather, Edward E. Montz Jr; uncle, Caleb John Yancey; and great grandparents, William Edward Ryals, Max Eugene Jones, Carol Kay Jones, and Robert Orson Yancey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Hoffstadt Cemetery, in Kentwood, LA.
