She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker known for her culinary skills, especially her lasagna; and her cuccidati Italian fig cookies and almond biscotti graced many St Joseph’s alters and holiday tables for friends and family to enjoy.
In her career as a banker and insurance broker, Santrina displayed excellence and was recognized for her dedication to professional development earning many continuing education certificates.
Described as a social butterfly who adored traveling, Santrina embraced life to the fullest. She found solace in gardening, nurturing a 30-year-old rose bush that reflected her care and dedication to everything she touched. Her warm personality and love for exploring the world left a lasting mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Santrina was a devout Catholic, loved the Lord, and in past years was an active parishioner of the Mater Dolorosa church in Independence.
Santrina is survived by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Dominick A. Geraci; daughter, Lisa Geraci Freibert (Jim); brother, Tony Teresi (Marie) of Toronto, Canada; fur baby, Cocoa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Grace T. Grimaldi.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Hammond.
