Sandra Barcia Guidry

Sandra Barcia Guidry, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the age of 73. She was born on March 2, 1948, in Independence, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Vincent Barcia and Katie Catalano Barcia. Sandra loved Gospel music and sang for Landmark Nursing Home residents regularly for over 12 years.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 32 years, Joseph Guidry; daughters, Kelly Dodson (Kearby) and Sabrina Mumphrey (Kenneth); grandchildren, Garret Mumphrey, Christopher Dodson and Bridget Valure; daughter-in-law, Connie Valure; brothers, Mike Barcia, Jimmy Barcia (Anne) and Charlie Barcia; sisters, Mary Rose Sherman and Barbara Stevens (Charlie); god son, Patrick Pardo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Joe Valure and brothers, Joe and Roy Barcia.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Pompeii Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
