Sam Viola

Sam Viola, a beloved resident of Hammond, LA, passed away at the age 74 on April 20, 2024, at N Oaks Hospital. Born on Sunday, July 17, 1949, in New Orleans, LA, he was a devoted husband and father, serving his country in the US Army. 

Survived by his loving wife, Josie P Viola, and his sons, Scott Viola with his wife Lauren, and Shaun Viola with his wife Maura, he had 5 grandchildren: London, Ashton, Adalind, Chloe, and Stone. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Cosimo L Viola and Mary Lucido Viola.

Sam's memory will be honored at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, Louisiana, with visitation on Tuesday, April 23 at 10:00am, followed by a mass officiated by Friar Mariano D. Velez at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. The services will conclude at Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hammond, LA.
