Salvador John "Sonny Boy" Magliolo

Salvador John "Sonny Boy" Magliolo passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019, in Independence, Louisiana, at the age of 90.  He was born on Monday, April 22, 1929 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Vincent T. and Marie Carreca Magliolo.  He was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Salvador is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pauline Gennaro Magliolo; sons, Vincent J. Magliolo (Jenny) and Gerald J. Magliolo (Terri); grandsons, Christopher (Sarah), John Vincent, Eric, and Spencer Magliolo; granddaughters, Mallory and Haley Magliolo; and great-grandchildren, Braden, Ian, Ava Sophia, and Augustin Magliolo.

In addition to his parents, Salvador was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Anthony "Zeke" Magliolo, Joseph Benny "JB" Magliolo, Vincent T. Magliolo, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, beginning at 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM.  The visitation will continue the next day, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Independence, 620 3rd Street, Independence, Louisiana 70443, beginning at 9:00 AM until the Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
