Sally graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Longtime Farm Bureau Insurance Agent, Sally fulfilled her dream of owning a local business and was a founding partner of Berryland Insurance Agency. Sally is a lifetime member of Junior Auxiliary, Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association board member, Hammond Chamber of Commerce board member, and a dedicated community leader. She was a devoted parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

Sally is survived by her husband, Rob Carlisle, sons, Thomas Cross Carlisle and Cale Allen Carlisle; mother, Peggy Cross Wooley; father, J. Robert Wooley; brother, William Bowman “Bo” Stevens, Jr. and wife Dara; sister, Anna Taylor Stevens; half-brother, Connor Patrick Stevens; half-sister, Emma Katherine Stevens; step-siblings, Derek, Morgan, Cameron, and Savannah Wooley; and her beloved nieces & nephews, Bowman, Sam, Jack, Kiley, Ashley, and Austin.

Sally was preceded in death by her father, William Bowman Stevens, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Vernon Ray Stevens and Ethel Bowman Stevens; maternal grandparents, Frank Allen Cross, Jr. and Marjorie Dennis Cross.

Loving others unconditionally was Sally’s true gift. Her smile illuminated every space. First and foremost, she enjoyed being with her family. An excellent hostess, Sally took great pleasure in entertaining and sharing time with her friends. Sally was a giver with a talent of finding just the right words and gifts at the right time. Sally empowered others to go after their dreams just as she did. Sally lived to travel and was always happiest near the water.

Sally’s life may seem short to many, but those who were touched by her understand the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time one lives.

Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, La., on Sunday, February 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, and Monday, February 15, from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
