Ruth Settoon Kenelly

Ruth Settoon Kenelly, of Springfield, Louisiana, passed away at Landmark Nursing Center of Hammond on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the age of 91. She was born on July 13, 1929, in Denham Springs, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Carl Chambers and Lela Barnett Chambers.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Kathy Settoon Schaer (Rick) and Jackie Settoon Hill; step daughter, Sarah Kenelly-Prevost (Troy); step brother, Ken Kenelly (Mary); grandchildren, Kerrie Sbisa (Steven Sr.), Shelley  Davis (Rickey), Katherine Seaborn (Gary), Caroline Herschbach (Nathan), Elizabeth Kenelly, Mary Hannah Prevot Johnson (Thornton), and Emily Prevot; and great grandchildren, Steven Joseph Sbisa Jr. and Beaux Davis.

The family would like to thank all of the caring and compassionate employees at Tulane Medical Center, North Oaks Medical Center, Acadian Ambulance, and Life Source Hospice Services of Baton Rouge. We also extend our appreciation and gratitude to everyone for their many prayers, cards, encouraging phone calls and support during these past difficult months.

Services were held privately. Family and friends are encouraged to send condolences and share memories online.

Ruth was laid to rest at Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana.
