Ruth Erwin Holden

Ruth Erwin Holden passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 89.  She was born on Friday, April 20, 1928 in Natalbany, Louisiana to the late Mary and Joe Erwin.  She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Ruth is survived by her son, Henry Holden (Rosalind); her daughter, Ruth Holden Alack; and her sister, Mary Miley. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Holden; daughter, Jannie Lott; parents, Joseph Cephas Erwin, Sr. and Mary Etta Sloan Erwin; two sons-in-law, Jerry Lott and Ricky Alack; six sisters, Bertha, Lillie, Rosetta, Lena, Pearlie, and Lenora; and four brothers, Jack, Bill, Wiley, and Joe, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday morning from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
