Ruth Courtney Durham

Ruth Courtney Phillips Durham passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 87. She was born on Sunday, December 23, 1928, in Amarillo, Texas to Ruth J. and James Clayton Phillips.

Ruth is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Melissa and Joel McDaniel; granddaughter & husband, Courtney and Chris Stalder; granddaughter, Jennifer Kay O'Brien; and great-grandsons, Andrew and Eli Stalder.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, William A. "Bill" Durham; her daughter, Linda Carol Durham; and her parents, Ruth J. and James C. Phillips.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA 70401 on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until service time.
