Ruth "Annie" Jones Ferrant

Ruth "Annie" Jones Ferrant, 88 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away  Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington, Louisiana. She was born on Tuesday, March 19, 1929, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. "Annie" was a founding member of French Corner Baptist Church and was currently  a member of First Baptist Church Ponchatoula.

"Annie" is survived by her daughter, Rene F. Martin and her husband Jessie; 5 grandchidren, Ethan Ferrant, Amanda Wichers, Gene Ferrant, Brandi Ferrant, and Lance Ferrant; great-grandchildren, Remington, Nova, Charlie and Sidney;  and sister, Anita "Pat" Parish and her husband Ron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anita Jones; husband, Gene Ferrant; 2 sons, Rodney T. Ferrant, and Eugene "Buck" Ferrant; 5 sisters, Alice Jones, Edna Hebert, Irene Barnes, Lena Benoit and Ethel Stroecker; 6 brothers, J.C. Jones, J.D. Jones, Casel Jones, Sidney Jones, Edward "Bumpy" Jones and Jacob Jones.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home  in Ponchatoula.

Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
