Russell is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Iris Andrea Overland Sanders; son & daughter-in-law, Russell "Rusty" and Donna Sanders; son, Brad Miles; grandson, Cody Paul Miles; sisters, Lois Clausen, Frances Coniglio, Marie Coniglio, and brother, Otis Evans.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his siblings, John Ray Evans, James Evans, Earl Evans, Kenneth Sanders, and Bonnie Sanders, and brother-in-law, Salvador Coniglio.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 10:00 am until the service begins at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Bankston Cemetery 4th Ward in Independence, Louisiana.
