Russell "Moe" Morales

Russell "Moe" Morales, of Holden, Louisiana, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 78. He was born on Tuesday, March 28, 1944, in Napoleonville, Louisiana, the son of the late Clifton Phillip Morales and Emily LeBlanc Morales. Some knew him as Russell, most knew him as Moe, while his children and grandchildren affectionately called him Pop and Pop Pop.  Moe loved Jesus and reading the Bible. He worked hard all his life and was one of the kindest people you could meet. Moe loved his family, especially his grandkids and he will be missed dearly.

Russell is survived by his wife, Kathy Allen Morales; children, Darrell Morales (Salina), Michelle Burns (Steve), Scott Morales (Amanda), Derek Morales (Leslie), and Raschelle Newman (Taylor); grandchildren, Brett Morales, Shane Morales, Lauren Morales, Laila Morales, Alexis Bates, Cameron Jones, Karson Jones, Elizabeth Morales, Judah Morales, Kaiden Adams, Bailey Minson, Hayden Newman, and Aubrey Newman; great grandson, Brax Bates; siblings, Dianne Ware, Vera Simoneaux (Rodney), and David Morales (Judy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his son, Aubrey Paul Morales; grandson, Elijah William Morales; daughter-in-law, Morgan “Sunnie” Morales; siblings, Claiborne Morales, Claude Morales, and Phyllis Blanchard.

Family and friends will be received at Celebration Church, 28975 S. Satsuma Rd., Livingston, Louisiana 70754 on Monday, June 13, 2022  from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Celebration Church on Monday at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana.
