Ruby Jean Reid

Ruby Jean Reid, born April 22, 1959 better known as Jean to those who knew her went to eternal rest on Friday, March 3, 2023, in Loranger Louisiana. Jean was a native of Kenner, LA and a longtime resident of Loranger, LA.

She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Ann Kennedy of New York, New York, and son, Chad Robert Kennedy of Loranger, LA. She is also survived by her spouse of 18 years, Keith Francis Dufresne; one brother, Charles Tommy Reid, and wife Anna; and grandson, Mark Robert Kennedy.

In addition she is survived by her spouses children Amber Meades and husband Jim; Justin Dufresne and wife, Laken; and grandchildren, Jemma, Ryder, Jessa, and Rhynn Meades, and Brayson Dufresne; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends whom she loved equally.

All who knew her loved her. She never met a stranger, and always had a smile. Her most treasured times were spent with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener who spent much of her spare time in her immaculate yard. Jean was well known in the motor cross circuit, usually always seen at her son's side. She loved spending quality time with her daughter conversing and hanging out.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer S. Reid, Jr., and Maxine Ridgell Reid; and the father of her children, Mark Robert Kennedy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana.
